Robert Oquist was a teacher at Fife High School during the 1950's, 60's and 70's. He was also the Newspaper, Chess Club and Class advisor.  Mr. Oquist and his journalism students won many awards for their production of "The Trumpet".  Mr. Oquist loved chess, during his 30 years at Fife High School he tutored hundreds of students on the fine art of chess.
